Express Gratitude: 

 You can increase your happiness by focusing on the things you are grateful for. One of the simplest ways that you can train your mind to focus on the positive things in your life is to write down what you are grateful for. So, take a minute right now and write down 3 things that make you happy.

Get A Good Night’s Rest: 

Lack of sleep can have a negative effect on your happiness. If you struggle with falling asleep or staying asleep, then you might get irritated and experience mood swings. When you get a good sleep i.e. around 6-8 hours a day then your mind is better able to process things that happened in a day and sleep well. also helps you to regain energy that you have lost working the whole day. When you sleep well you wake up fresh and thus you start your day on a good and happy note. 

Meditate: 

Regular meditation can increase happiness and also provide a host of other benefits, including reducing stress and improving sleep. You can try yoga or guided meditation and even deep breathing exercises to calm down your senses and release the negativity from your mind and keep you positive and happy.

Get active:

Make it a habit to exercise daily for at least 30 minutes.  Working out takes away all the toxicity from your mind and body and keeps you happy and refreshed. Exercising releases happy hormones in the body that keeps you in a good state of mind. Aerobic exercise, also known as cardio, is the most effective type of exercise for increasing happiness. Walking or playing tennis won’t just be good for your physical health, it’ll help boost your mood too.

Eat a healthier diet:

When you spend your time out in nature your mind and body is refreshed and all the toxicity is out of your body and you are way more light and happy. 

Practice Smiling:

Smiling can make us feel better, but it’s more effective when we back it up with positive thoughts. Smiling makes us feel good which also increases our attentional flexibility and our ability to think holistically. A smile is also a good way to reduce some of the pain we feel in troubling circumstances. Smiling is one way to reduce the distress caused by an upsetting situation. Even forcing a smile when we don’t feel like it is enough to lift our mood slightly.
