TALK TO POSITIVE PEOPLE:
The type of people you spend your time with has a major effect on what you think and what you behave like. If you are in a bad mood and you come across a negative person they will bring you down, rather if you share that time with a positive person they will lift up your mood and will even give you a reason to be happy and forget why you were upset.
FAMILIARISE YOURSELF TO HUMOR:
Laughter is the best medicine. When a person is happy and laughing it automatically lowers the anxiety and depression levels. Try to watch humor or read something that is similar to the same genre. Even if you start to fake laughter it does help you to lower your stress levels( laughter therapy).
We are the harshest on ourselves no matter what. And being your biggest critic you eventually become negative. In order to get rid of this negativity in your head, you need to do some positive self-talk i.e., by replacing your negative self-thoughts with positive ones. For example, instead of saying “I can’t do it” try “I must try again”.
MAINTAIN A JOURNAL:
Start being grateful for at least ten minutes daily. Maintain a gratitude journal and write something that you are happy about or you feel that you are grateful that you have that thing or person in your life. Practicing gratitude helps you to maintain an optimistic point of view and helps you to lower stress levels and boost your self-esteem making you resilient.
FIND OUT YOUR NEGATIVE POINTS:
Take some time off and evaluate your life. See what’s going on and try to find out the negative points in your life. Ask your friends or your colleague what brings negativity in you when you are in your personal and professional environment. And make sure to resolve those issues one at a time.
ALWAYS START WITH POSITIVITY:
Always start your day on a positive note for that you can listen to positive songs in the morning, or can start to read things that create a positive sense in you. Also, make it a habit that you will compliment something or someone in case you like that thing.
Try to be more appreciative of your life and spread positivity around.
